Reflections by the River was aptly named, because I am fortunate to live on the Connecticut river and yes, I do a lot of reflecting here. It’s an inspiring location where when I’m “up” I see the beauty of wildlife such as ospreys, bald and golden eagles, swans, ducks, coyote, turtles, a variety of small birds, and my personal favorite, a beaver I named Bob, who by the way just had a baby, but he’ll, I mean, she’ll, always be Bob to me. When I’m “down” I see a dark flowing body of water, that can sport angry whitecaps, with depths I cannot fathom and a current so deceiving it can be deadly.  Like the river, my blogs are up and down, it’s who I am, but no matter, the river will always be here to inspire me.
